People of love and conscience experiment with allowing inward guidance shape our lives to preserve the peace among us and with the natural world. As we grow and change every day, we invite generations of wisdom to challenge us in ways we may not have chosen for ourselves. We stay open to and teachable by what is real, rather than pursue our own images and desires. We use queries not to get busy and distracted, but to call ourselves deeper into a full connection with life. Love and conscience manifest differently in each life. Be your own, authentic example and pattern.

“These things we do not lay upon you as a rule or form to walk by, but that all, with the measure of light which is pure and holy, may be guided; and so in the light walking and abiding, these may be fulfilled in the Spirit, not from the letter, for the letter killeth, but the Spirit giveth life.” ~Elders at Balby, 1656

Ask yourself these questions to reconnect to inward knowledge and compassion

Do you testify against state-sanctioned violence, including war and preparations for war, and root out the seeds of war in your way of life?

Do you affirm yourself and others without dismissing, disregarding or elevating anyone, and recognize the goodness and capabilities of every person regardless of situation or condition?

Do you acknowledge your aspirations for or use of unnecessary or unfair power and your need for forgiveness and grace?

In what ways do you work for reconciliation within yourself and with people close, far, similar or different?

Do you seek to understand the causes of injustice, social unrest and fear and work to bring about a loving, peaceful, just, compassionate society which allows everyone to develop their goodness and capabilities?

Do you take responsibility as a citizen for the conduct of local, national, and international affairs, and not shrink from the time and effort this involvement may demand?

Do you hold the laws of your governments to a standard of love and truth, adhere to those that do and publicly challenge or prudently violate those that do not?

Do you ask for and offer good attention and help to those who are experimenting with love and conscience in our lives?

Do you maintain honesty and truth-telling in all you say and do, strict integrity in business and personal transactions, and discretion in the use money and information? When you affirm rather than swear an oath, is your claim to integrity well-founded?

Do you say yes to that which has a creative, regenerative, loving and truthful nature and no to that which does not? Do you stay sober?

Do you invest in living wealth through the care of the natural gifts of life such as time, health, talent, conscience, love, beauty, relationships, knowledge, skills, capabilities and natural materials that maintain strength, promote well-being and allow life to regenerate and flourish, and reinvest money and information back into creative, regenerative activities of life with a reference for all life?
